LEGAL SECRETARY/LEGAL ASSISTANT - UPPER HUTT

Main Street Legal is looking for a full-time Legal Secretary/Assistant to join our growing team in Upper Hutt.

We are a small general practice law firm.  Our supportive and tight knit team consists of two Directors, two Lawyers, an Associate/Conveyancing Practitioner, a Legal Executive and support staff. As we are a small friendly team, a willingness to assist in all areas of the legal practice is essential.  

We specialise in property law, trusts, estate planning, estate administration, criminal and family litigation. As a growing practice we would welcome a legal secretary/assistant to assist one of our directors and two lawyers with the day-to-day management of litigation, including conveyancing, estates and general matters. 

What we are looking for:

  • Applicants with a Legal Executive Diploma or applicants close to completion of a diploma would be highly desirable. 
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to ask for guidance as required.
  • Efficient multi-tasking abilities.
  • Ability to prioritise, keen administrative and organisational skills.
  • The willingness to learn and advance your skills.
  • Applicants must be eligible to work in New Zealand.
